Inspired by his first experience at a national Round Table event, young Joseph House quickly became a fan of Round Table after being given pin badges by the friendly members of Round Table and Ladies Circle.
It was the beginning of his collection, and of his love for this awesome club. After joining Round Table Now in his twenties, Joseph House is now Area 33 Chairman of Round Table and is taking the RTBI from strength to strength throughout Essex…….

The first part is absolutely true. A shy seven year old Joseph and his six year old sister Katy joined the 2016 National Conference weekend in Cardiff to watch daddy Mark be installed as RTBI’s National President for 2016/17.
Still not really understanding what that actually meant, Joseph and Katy attended the evening dinner, along with more than 300 members and guests of RTBI and Ladies Circle. It was there that past president Stephen Sprod suggested to a couple of quiet children that they might want to go and ask for people’s pin badges. Little smiles on faces told Stephen that it was a good idea, so off they went with Stephen’s wife Karen to visit each table, introducing them and explaining that they would love to have a few badges.
Two hours and over 100 badges between them later, a not so shy seven year old boy proudly showed off his pin badge filled waistcoat, as did his little sister on her newly acquired Finnish flag (courtesy of one of the international guests).
Joseph was given an RTBI honorary member’s badge, and now believes that he is a true Table member. He is desperate to collect more badges and wants to have his waistcoat framed to display his collection.
