About Mark House

Mark House wass the National President of Round Table Great Britain and Ireland for 2016-17.

He wanted to do the role as he is inspired by young men all around Great Britain and Ireland who want to have fun, get involved with their community, and take part in activities that they might not otherwise do.

Mark was born in Aldershot in a RAF hospital, and spent his early years there. He then moved with his family to Leigh on Sea in Essex, and from there, to a range of other places in the south east of England until he settled in Thorpe Bay in Essex. He worked for many years in Financial Services, and focused mostly on making new products or businesses, or on making existing ones a little better. He always put the customer at the very top of the pile, and he still does – for Mark, everything is about the people you touch and the experiences you have.

He is now happily the Director of a marketing company [www.allthingsscene.co] and offers consultancy to a range of financial services firms – all are focused on offering brilliant experiences that count.

Beyond work and Round Table, he is happiest spending time with his family – his wife and two young children try to attend as many events as they can and have enjoyed travelling the country (and beyond!). They too love seeing places that maybe they wouldn’t otherwise see. Mark also enjoys watching as many home games with the kids as he can at the fantastic West Ham United ground [www.whufc.com], playing squash, walking and reading and generally being in the company of others.

Round Table truly offers men the chance to have fun and to make a difference in their communities – it helps men belong, and to have a purpose beyond work and family, and Mark is committed to sharing how great Round Table is to as many people as he can find.
